Carnival Imagination PortMiamiIt’s the dawn of a new era in Florida’s cruise industry as PortMiami, recognized as the ‘Cruise Capital of the World,’ announces its strategic partnership with the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), a renowned trade association spearheading the interests of the cruise industry throughout the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Mexico.

This collaboration is pivotal for both organizations, signalling a mutual commitment to bolster PortMiami’s ambitious long-term objectives. At the heart of this partnership is a focus on sustainable growth, industry innovation, and creating positive ripple effects for stakeholders across the cruise spectrum.

Hydi Webb, the formidable Director and CEO of PortMiami expressed gratitude towards the FCCA, envisioning the alliance as a crucial springboard for PortMiami’s growth initiatives. “We deeply appreciate our partnership with the FCCA. As we expand our operations and partnerships, we anticipate a rise in cruise activity, positively impacting our industry colleagues.”

Echoing Webb’s optimism, FCCA’s CEO, Michele Paige, praised PortMiami as a long-standing ally, lauding their shared ethos for innovative growth. “Like PortMiami, we at FCCA constantly work to adapt our approach for our partners, and we are excited to chart the course for growth together.”

Central to the new partnership agreement will be an aggressive promotion of PortMiami, including comprehensive coverage in FCCA publications, notably Travel & Cruise, the official magazine of the cruise industry jointly produced by FCCA and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

Further, the spotlight will shine on PortMiami in a weekly email newsletter dispatched to tens of thousands of industry professionals. A robust social media campaign across FCCA’s social channels will also feature PortMiami, creating an unmissable buzz around this creative collaboration.

The alliance is also set to utilize FCCA’s Operations Committee. This Committee, comprising top-tier cruise executives representing FCCA’s 23 Member Lines, will work closely with PortMiami, integrating it into their workbooks and facilitating opportunities for strategic dialogue based on PortMiami’s agenda.

In the limelight will be PortMiami’s ambitious NetZero program. This flagship initiative underscores the port’s commitment to sustainable growth and environment-friendly operations, further consolidating its position as a forward-thinking industry leader.

Situated at the crossroads of north-south and east-west trade lanes, PortMiami stands as one of America’s fastest-growing gateways. The port is an essential cog in the state’s economic engine and contributing over $43 billion annually to Miami-Dade County’s local economy and supporting over 334,500 jobs in Florida.

As the cruise industry navigates an era marked by global challenges and transformation, the PortMiami-FCCA partnership heralds an exciting journey ahead. This strategic alliance promises a powerful synergistic blend of expertise, resources, and vision, redefining the future of the cruise industry and potentially revolutionizing the global maritime landscape.
