Organised and facilitated by TravelManagers’ team of Business Partnership Managers (BPMs), the training days provided valuable face-to face time with the company’s Finance and Commercial Manager, Tanyu Cilek, who explained how to better use existing technology to analyse their businesses and grow their profitability. TravelManagers’ Fares & Ticketing Manager, Jose Cañas, provided an update on fare types available that offer more value to clients and their business, as well as delivering some handy tips and tricks for Amadeus.

Alison Banks, who is TravelManagers’ Business Partnership Manager for Western Australia, explains that her PTMs thrive on learning from each other in person, and came away from the training day feeling more mindful of applying best practice learnings to enhance their businesses.

PTM Tanya Nielsen agrees that spending the time away from her business was extremely worthwhile: “even though I’m super busy, I’m so glad I took the opportunity to attend, share ideas and see how I could transform my annual business income.”

“I found both presentations fabulous and informative,” adds fellow PTM Lisa Leary, who attended the Brisbane training day. “I enjoyed the in-person interaction with Tanyu and Jose: especially being able to ask questions, which is always harder in a webinar.”

South Australia BPM, Maggie Bootsman, says her PTMs are already putting their new skills to great use and can see it paying off.

“Training days are always such a positive learning experience, and I always find some benefit from getting together as a team and workshopping ideas,” notes PTM Philippa Williams, who is based in Medindie, SA. “Getting together to brush up on work skills in person is a great add-on to the amazing support provided remotely by the NPO team, and paramount to thriving within the home-based model.”

Cilek says he loves seeing the PTMs apply their learnings to great success.

“It’s great to work with such an engaged and diverse group of PTMs across Australia, with each session offering up thoughtful and considered questions that allow the theoretical aspects of the training to be applied to real life situations.”
