We are thrilled to welcome Marc Haeni to our team as the Director of Business Development for North America. With over 25 years of experience in the travel and destination management industry, Marc brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for creating unforgettable destination experiences.

Carmen Pinto, VP Sales North America, will be partnering with Marc to serve our clients in the future. Carmen has been successfully working with Liberty for many years already and we are confident that together with Marc, they will continue to provide excellent service and expertise to our clients.

Marc’s journey in the industry began at an esteemed global travel and destination management company in Switzerland, where he quickly rose through the ranks and got an opportunity to relocate to the United States at the company’s request in 2001.

He played a pivotal role in the company’s expansion plans, including mergers and acquisitions, brand rollouts, and serving as the primary global sales liaison for North American clients and their international DMC needs. In addition, Marc successfully managed the DMC teams & presence in five U.S. markets overseeing Sales & Operations for a well-known domestic subsidiary prior to accepting a position at Royal Caribbean in 2019 to contribute to the company’s MICE growth strategy.

As the cruise industry navigated through the pandemic and started to plan its return-to-service strategies, Marc transitioned to join Royal Caribbean’s ultra-luxury brand “Silversea” and contributed to the successful restart of the line’s global operation by collaborating with internal stakeholders, governmental officials and destination partners around the globe.

Earlier this year, Marc seized the opportunity to join our team at Liberty International Tourism Group, the largest privately-owned Destination Management Company, as our Director of Business Development for North America. With his extensive experience in destination management, Marc is well-equipped to drive our business development efforts in the North American market. He is passionate about creating memorable destination experiences for our valued clients, in collaboration with our industry partners around the globe.
