Christmas shoppers at Pacific Werribee have the opportunity to literally ‘grab’ more than just a special present for their loved ones this year, as the centre hosts a large-scale claw machine, the first for a shopping centre in Melbourne. .
From 13 December to 24 December, a giant human claw machine ‘Santa Claws’ full to the brim with Christmas presents will be set up inside the centre. Customers who spend $200 in-store during the 12 days prior to Christmas will get the chance to win one of 1,200 prizes by participating in the unique human gift grab.
Instead of operating a claw to try their luck at snatching up a prize, this next level human gift grab will see customers safely strapped into a body sling. Their friends and family will be able to move them around to collect a present, with every entrant walking away with a gift.
Pacific Werribee’s General Manager Ryan Ling says “We pride ourselves on bringing unique events and experiences to our customers, and the human gift grab ‘Santa Claws’ will not disappoint. We have been able to support our retailers by sourcing hundreds of incredible Christmas gifts, and we can’t wait to see local families have fun trying out the machine.”
All together, the prizes up for grabs are worth more than $20,000 and include:
- PlayStation 5
- UE Boom speakers
- Nintendo Switch
- $100 gift cards for Pacific Werribee
- Gift cards from a range of popular retailers including T2, Mecca, Seed, Forever New, General Pants, Timezone, Myer, H&M
- Village Cinemas movie tickets
To be eligible, customers will need to spend $200 at participating Pacific Werribee retailers in one day and visit during the below dates and times:
- Tuesday 13th December and Wednesday 14th: 12pm – 4pm
- Thursday 15th to Friday 23rd: 3pm – 7pm
- Christmas Eve 12pm – 4pm
