The Monaco Yacht Show has a long-standing commitment to promoting sustainability, dating back to its initiation of an eco-friendly approach in 2005. Over the years, the show has played a pivotal role in raising environmental awareness within the Monegasque and international yachting community. Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the MYS, highlighted the show’s dedication to sustainability, stating, “Our pioneering approach to sustainability led to the establishment of the Sustainability Hub last year. As one of the industry’s major voices, we fully embrace our social responsibility.”

Robert Van Tol, Executive Director of the Water Revolution Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the return of the Sustainability Hub, noting the growing momentum in the yachting industry and the importance of concrete environmental credentials. The exhibition area aims to showcase technologies that bring tangible improvements to the world of yachting, including the health of the oceans. Van Tol emphasized the foundation’s commitment to finding, verifying, promoting, and rewarding sustainable solutions.

Excitingly, the Monaco Yacht Show has partnered with Siemens Energy to sponsor the Sustainability Hub. This collaboration offers a unique opportunity for all stakeholders in the yachting industry to engage with Siemens Energy and explore the integration of sustainable energy sources and clean fuels into an exclusive Energy Management and Propulsion System. The system, designed for electric and hybrid yachts, aims to reduce and control emissions. The partnership with Siemens Energy further strengthens the Monaco Yacht Show’s commitment to promoting a responsible and environmentally-friendly approach throughout the yachting industry.

From September 27 to 30, 2023, the Sustainability Hub at the Monaco Yacht Show will bring together industry professionals, yachting enthusiasts, and the media to explore and engage with the latest sustainable solutions in the yachting sector. The exhibition will foster an ongoing dialogue and collective effort towards a sustainable future for the industry.
