More than 8,000 people have booked their ticket for this Saturday’s Aviation Australia Aviation Expo at Brisbane Airport. It will be the first time the event has been held since 2019, as a result of the impact of Covid-19.

Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close to iconic aircraft on the BNE tarmac in the “Aircraft Experience Zone”.

“Today 24,000 people work around Brisbane Airport and we know that we will need another 10,000 people by the time the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games come around. This is a great time to discover a pathway into the exciting world of aviation,” according to Gert-Jan de Graaff, CEO of Brisbane Airport Corporation.

The Aviation Australia Expo in Brisbane showcases the burgeoning aerospace industry, with a significant focus on aviation skills development, careers and employment opportunities.

The Aviation Expo also features dozens of exhibitors from the aviation, defence and education industries who will inspire and educate visitors about how to launch into a career in aviation.

There are many activities for visitors to experience, including cabin crew evacuations, avionics demonstrations, insight into an operational hangar environment, roving entertainment and careers seminars.
