Virtuoso®, the leading global network specialising in luxury and experiential travel, is bringing its Advisor Recruitment Program to Australia. The program is designed to assist its member agencies that are experiencing talent shortages in connecting with and hiring qualified luxury travel advisors from outside the Virtuoso network, including those who are newer to the industry or small agencies looking for a host. Advisor applications are inputted into Virtuoso’s database, where proprietary technology matches participating member agencies with advisors based on respective needs, niches and available job openings.

Australia is the second region to welcome the Advisor Recruitment Program, and 22 regional members confirmed their participation prior to the launch. The first roll-out of the program was soft-launched in the United States this past February, where 37 member agencies are enrolled and 16 advisors have been placed.

“We’re thrilled to launch Virtuoso’s Advisor Recruitment Program in Australia as a resource for our members to recruit talent at a time when the demand for professional travel advisors is ever-increasing,” said Virtuoso General Manager, Australia Fiona Dalton. “Early participation from nearly two dozen of our regional members is a great indicator that the program will mirror the successful outcome seen in the U.S. thus far and aid agencies in growing their businesses by bringing in quality talent.”

Virtuoso’s Advisor Recruitment Program adds to the expansive list of benefits that the network’s members receive exclusively. Other advantages include affiliation with Virtuoso’s respected and valued global brand; access to a worldwide network of like-minded professionals and preeminent travel suppliers; participation at Virtuoso Travel Week, luxury travel’s premier worldwide gathering, to further network relationships; on-going professional development, insight into the latest travel trends, as well as special rates and upgrades for clients and more.

All advisors hired via the recruitment program are required to complete the Virtuoso Certified Travel Advisor (VCTA) course, an elite qualification designed to fast-track the development of those who are new to the travel advising profession. VCTA also serves as a resource for experienced advisors who recently joined the Virtuoso network, as it lays the groundwork for establishing a solid career path in the luxury travel market segment. VCTA graduates sell an average of 83 percent more than their peers.
