Tina Burford, stepping into the Hotham GM role on July 3rd, shared her excitement about the upcoming grand reopening. “Our guests will absolutely relish The Orchard, offering exhilarating intermediate terrain. For the more daring individuals, they’ll find their limits tested in the Extreme Zone’s challenging advanced terrain,” she remarked.

The opening couldn’t be more timely as we approach the second week of the school holidays. Full-day children’s lessons have returned, allowing parents to breathe easy knowing their kids are engaged and entertained and acquiring a lifelong appreciation for snowsports.

However, visitors are encouraged to stay tuned to the Hotham Lift Report and the dedicated Hotham App for real-time updates on operations due to the region’s ever-fluctuating weather. Burford stated, “Weather can be changeable, so please keep your eye on our Lift Report and the Hotham App for real-time operations information.” You can download the Hotham App here.

Along with a winter wonderland comes a flurry of activities, with events such as the Subaru Junior & Open Rail Jam, Shred for Chumpy Day, Subaru Snowfest, and Demo Days scheduled. For the complete list of upcoming events, visit the Hotham events calendar here.

In short, this revival at Hotham is a beacon of hope, signifying resilience and rebirth in the wake of challenging times. It’s a momentous occasion, a historic leap towards normalcy while rekindling the spirit of outdoor fun and adventure that has always been the essence of Hotham. With the season now in full swing, the slopes are ready, and Hotham eagerly awaits the return of its beloved guests to once again carve their mark on its pristine terrains.
