Crystal SerenityA wave of resplendent rejuvenation awaits aboard the Crystal Cruises, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. The renowned cruise line is set to dazzle its guests with a significant revamp spearheaded by an international consortium of world-class partners. The reimagined ships beautifully interweave Crystal’s established grace with contemporary aesthetics and the essence of the Mediterranean.

Anticipating a grand relaunch in the summer, the Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony are bracing themselves for an impressive transformation. Everything onboard aligns with Crystal’s enduring dedication to superior style and unparalleled comfort, whether the reimagined public spaces, contemporary suites, or ultra-luxe amenities.

Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, shared her excitement, “This refurbishment blends Crystal’s cherished history with an invigorating vision of a bright future. The refreshed look, replete with vibrant hues, unique textures, and first-class features, will create an unforgettable ambience, offering our guests timeless leisure moments and lasting memories.”Crystal

Tillberg Design of Sweden (TDoS), a leader in ship design, has been entrusted with translating this vision into reality. Their design brief demanded the perfect blend of traditional elegance and contemporary refinement, infused with a hint of Mediterranean charm. TDoS’s design expertise has resulted in a stylishly modern setting that encapsulates Crystal’s commitment to sophistication and class.

Fredrik Johansson, Partner & Executive Director at TDoS, spoke about their collaboration, “We’re grateful for Crystal’s trust in our design acumen. Our joint efforts aim to retain Crystal’s iconic fleet status, ensuring the utmost satisfaction for guests while maximizing profitability for the owners.”

The facelift extends to the guest rooms and suites, courtesy of GEM, a leading architectural firm specializing in cruise ship design. Their design approach gravitates towards a blend of neutral and subtle pastel tones that reflect the colour of the ocean, coupled with high-end fixtures, to create an inviting space for guests. The redesigned larger suites encompass separate living and bedroom areas, large bathrooms, and a host of other facilities to ensure a home-away-from-home experience for guests.

Adriana Granato, the project’s leading architect and an adjunct professor at Politecnico di Milano, ensured meticulous attention to detail. In her pursuit of perfection, she even visited a quarry in the Italian Alps to select the finest Fior di Pesco marble for the suites, renowned for its exquisite peach-toned veins.

Furthermore, the cruise line has joined Jesurum 1870, an Italian luxury linen manufacturer, to deliver royal-quality bedding onboard. As the first cruise line to feature Jesurum 1870’s collection, Crystal’s Aquamarine category guests can look forward to a blissful sleep cocooned in the purest Italian-made linen.

Paola Cimolai, CEO of Jesurum 1870, expresses her pride in their collaboration, “We’re honored to be part of Crystal’s new journey. Our bed linens, combined with Crystal’s elegant accommodations, will surely provide the perfect night’s sleep to guests.”

Further enhancing the luxe experience, Crystal has partnered with La Bottega and Ortigia for in-room amenities. With a range of bath and fragrance products inspired by the exotic scents of Sicily, guests can look forward to a rejuvenating, aromatic experience during their voyage.

Crystal Cruises’ redesigned ships are prepared to embark on varied itineraries, including trips through the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada, New England, Alaska, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
