Flight Centre has teamed up with Intrepid Travel to offer travellers the chance to win one of 20 Intrepid tours for two, in destinations as far-flung as Peru, Nepal, Croatia and Kenya.

“You’ll enter the competition having no idea what kind of tour you’ll get,” said Flight Centre Global Managing Director Andrew Stark. “It could be a multi-day hike to Everest Base Camp, a sailing adventure off the coast of Croatia or a journey of discovery along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, who knows? The mystery is all part of the fun!”

Each prize winner and their companion will also receive return flights from their closest departure point to their destination up to the value of A$2000 each.

“We wanted to put together a comp that really throws caution to the wind,” said Mr Stark. “Last year we held a competition to mark our 40th Birthday, where we gave away 40 holidays to get people back in the travelling mood after the pandemic.  This year, now that travel is back in full swing, people are seeking new and exciting experiences that take them out of their comfort zones.”

That’s where Intrepid Travel enters the picture.

“Partnering with Intrepid was an obvious choice for us,” Mr Stark said. “Not only are they one of the most experienced small group touring companies with over 30 years in the business, they’re also one of the most responsible and ethical having earned their B Corporation certification.”

“Intrepid Travel’s due care to provide exciting tours that support local communities, respect the environment and protect wildlife mean they align well with Flight Centre’s values of sustainable travel.” Mr Stark said.

Intrepid Travel’s Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, Brett Mitchell, said “We are proud to be teaming up with our long-time industry partner Flight Centre to offer travellers the chance win one of 20 mystery Intrepid tours. No matter the destination, travellers can expect small groups, big adventure and responsible travel.”

“Responsible travel has always been at the core of what we do as we run trips that are not only better for our travellers, but also the local communities, wildlife and planet,” Mr Mitchell said.
