These haunting sites narrate Cambodia’s tragic history, providing an essential understanding of its struggles and the resulting need for support. Undeniably heavy yet incredibly significant, these experiences shape the lens through which Mishcammers view the rest of their journey.

Mishcam Essential Experiences In Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh is not just about the past; it’s also a vibrant city teeming with life and energy. Embracing this dynamism, Mishcammers navigate through bustling local markets such as the Central and Russian markets. Each call, unique in its offerings, immerses visitors in an explosion of colours, flavours, and sounds, offering an authentic glimpse into the local lifestyle.

Starting the journey with a bang, Mishcam organizes a sensational boat party along the Tonle Sap River. Aboard a double-decker party boat, Mishcammers savour stunning views of Phnom Penh, accompanied by delightful food and cold drinks. The cruise sets the tone for the camaraderie and shared experiences that define the Mishcam experience.

Continuing the trend of unique activities, Mishcammers enjoy a private movie screening at “The Popcorn” private cinema featuring “First They Killed My Father”. This film, although sad, is a critical step in comprehending Cambodia’s history.

An essential part of the Mishcam experience is the visit to the ONE Day Spa, a vocational training project initiated by CKF. Here, Mishcammers relax and recharge while contributing to the spa’s cause – providing employment and teaching women skills in the beauty industry.

Taking the adventure to the rural Soksan Village, the Mishcam experience unfolds into teaching, fishing, cooking, temple visits, bike rides, and talent shows. Mishcammers act as mentors at the Soksan International School, leveraging their skills to aid students’ project-based learning.

From muddy and wet net-fishing experiences to cooking lessons from local ladies, Mishcammers savour traditional Cambodian life. The journey continues with a visit to the ancient Sambor Prei Kuk Temples and thrilling bike rides around the scenic countryside.

The Soksan sojourn culminates in a grand talent show – “Soksan’s Got Talent”. Mishcammers, students, and staff showcase their unique talents, culminating in an unforgettable evening of fun, laughter, and shared memories.

Finally, no journey to Cambodia would be complete without marvelling at the ancient city of Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, the Mishcam team explores the impressive temple complexes of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, and Ta Prohm, appreciating the grandeur of Cambodia’s golden age.

The Mishcam experience isn’t just about seeing Cambodia; it’s about understanding, engaging, and leaving a positive impact. It’s about creating bonds and collecting moments that wouldn’t fit into regular travel itineraries. It’s about bringing travellers face-to-face with natural, raw Cambodia. So, ready to be a Mishcammer?
