This non-alcoholic pop-up event is a testament to the Mets’ commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere at Citi Field. The organization continually explores innovative avenues to enhance accessibility and improve the overall fan experience within the ballpark.

Absence of Proof originated in New York City and has emerged as a frontrunner in the flourishing ‘sober-curious’ scene, championing a more inclusive environment for individuals who opt not to consume alcohol for various reasons. Over the past few years, there has been a remarkable surge in the ‘sober-curious’ community, particularly among Millennials and Gen Z consumers, resulting in soaring demand for alcohol alternatives. Absence of Proof fills this gap by offering a unique and enticing range of beverages, enabling consumers to prioritize wellness and personal growth.

Elizabeth Gascoigne, the 25-year-old Founder and CEO of Absence of Proof, explained, “I recognized the absence of nightlife and social options that didn’t revolve around alcohol. Personally, I understand the necessity for these alcohol-free experiences, and I have always felt like an outsider in the typical alcohol-centric environments.”

Since its establishment in 2022, Absence of Proof has hosted remarkable pop-up events nationwide, garnering widespread acclaim and media coverage from esteemed publications such as The New York Times, Fortune, Financial Times, Thrillist, and SELF magazine. The organization has also collaborated with esteemed partners, including Bumble, James Beard Foundation, INTER_ museum, and others, striving to create more inclusive environments for their events.

With the Mets and Absence of Proof uniting their efforts, Citi Field will become an epicentre of innovation, offering fans an unparalleled experience that combines the excitement of baseball with the thrill of tantalizing mocktails.
