New York City - Times SquareNew York City’s tourism authority, NYC & Company, recently embarked on a mission down under to showcase the best that the city has to offer to Australian and New Zealand travel agents, tour operators, and product managers. The group, consisting of eight key members from NYC & Company and its partner organizations, attended the Visit USA and Brand USA expos and hosted private travel trade events in Sydney and the Gold Coast. The mission was a huge success, with over 800 industry professionals meeting the contingent across various events.

The Visit USA and Brand USA expos are major events in the travel industry calendar, providing a platform for tourism organizations from across the United States to showcase their destinations and offerings to international buyers. The NYC & Company group, consisting of representatives from the Arthouse Hotel, Empire State Building, Gray Line CitySightseeing New York, Hotel Beacon, Hudson Yards, New York Hilton Midtown, Rockefeller Center, and SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, made their presence felt at the expos with their impressive displays and engaging presentations.

In addition to the expos, the NYC & Company group also hosted private travel trade events in Sydney and the Gold Coast, providing an opportunity for the attendees to engage with the representatives on a more personal level. Air Canada, one of the partners of NYC & Company, generously provided flight prizes for the events, adding an extra incentive for the attendees to participate.

One of the highlights of the mission was the NYC & Company hosted events, including a hugely popular Drag Queen trivia lunch in Sydney with the one and only Prada Clutch. The event was a great success, with attendees raving about the fun and engaging experience.
