Goa Tourism helipad + helpline launch 2The Goa Department of Tourism has taken a significant step to enhance the tourist experience in the state with the launch of its new helipad service and tourism helpline. In partnership with Soaring Aerospace Private Limited, the helipad has been established in Dauje, Ella, and Old Goa. The company aims to encourage tourism in Goa through its proposed helicopter services, which will give tourists a panoramic view of the state from above.

For a fee of Rs. 8,000 per person, tourists can take a 10-minute helicopter joyride to famous landmarks such as Old Goa churches, Coco beach, Fort Aguada, and more. The service is available for five rides daily between 11:00 a.m. and noon and between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Furthermore, tourists have the option to customize their own Heli tours to make the experience even more personal.

The helicopter, Agusta 119 VT-RNK, is equipped with air conditioning and follows strict safety guidelines set by the DGC and ATC. In addition to the helipad service, the Goa Department of Tourism has also launched a tourism helpline (1364) for tourists within the state. The helpline offers information on hotels, beaches, adventure sports, transport, and more and is available in English, Hindi, and Marathi, providing 24-hour service. In case of distress, tourists can also use the helpline to contact the concerned authorities, including the police, medical emergency services, and fire services.

Tourists can also avail of exclusive airport transfers to and from Mopa to Dabolim Airport or North or South Goa hotels and resorts. City helicopter transfers are available to Mumbai, Kolhapur, Belgaum, Hubli, and more. The company has ambitious plans to connect to the Hampi World Heritage Site.
