There are approximately 470 hotels with nearly 60,000 rooms in greater Kuala Lumpur, and travellers have a massive choice of highly ranked properties.

The Pan Pacific Hotel Group has three popular properties, two of them upscale – the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites and the Parkroyal Collection rated 4.5 stars, plus the more economical Parkroyal Service Suites.

The Parkroyal Collection, one of the most popular properties in the Pan Pacific Hotel’s portfolio of 50 properties globally, has 426 rooms and is situated in the Bukit Bintang shopping centre in the heart of the city with public transport and a train station nearby. The hotel features spacious rooms with obvious environmental responsibility in accord with their new slogan “New Inspiration”. Plastic bottles and trash cans are a thing of the past with a filtered drinking water outlet. Wooden pens are provided and dedicated wooden containers are used for waste, plastic and paper recycling. The hotel was opened in October 2009 and features a good-sized outdoor pool with a bar, a fitness centre, spa, wellness centre,free Wi-Fi, private parking and all-day dining in the Thyme restaurant.

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites are located next door to the Park Royal Collection The 25-storey luxury high-rise has 210 elegant one and two-bedroom suites, ranging from 47 to 80 sqm. Guests travelling with families or larger groups can enjoy their one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites connected by a private entrance.

The Parkroyal Serviced Suites include an outdoor pool, business and fitness centre, mezzanine lounge, children’s play area and daily breakfast.

The property is situated close to the KL Tower, the Petronas Twin Towers, the Pavilion shopping mall, Central market, the Forest Eco Park and Jalan Alor food street.

Directly across the road from the Park Royal Collection is the hop-on hop-off open air bus with a two-hour familiarisation tour of the city with English commentary where you can get a feel for the highlights at each of the stops and return to further explore the areas that pique your interest. The bus starts at Sungei Wang Plaza in Jalan Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang. Highlights of this tour include stops at both the towers, China Town, Little India, Central Market, the National Museum, the enormous free flight walk in aviary at Bird Park and the National Mosque. The bus also does a KL city of lights tour from 8 pm in the evening which calls at the more popular daytime stops.
