Situated on a 100-acre farming property in peaceful Ambergate, near Busselton on Wadandi Boodja, Willow Wood Glamping Retreat provides luxury eco-stay accommodation with stunning sunset views across native bush and farmland.

Willow Wood is Busselton’s first dedicated glamping accommodation.

Guests staying in the 10 glamping tents will enjoy stylish boho coastal and farm luxe décor, top-of-the-range features with generous living areas, outdoor deck, fully equipped ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, king or queen-size bed, heating/cooling, lounges, armchairs and natural fibre rugs.

There are four tent types – Marri, Kingia, Melaleuca and Melaleuca Deluxe – providing a variety of features, amenities and price points. The Melaleuca Deluxe tent will be sought after for special celebrations – set back from the other glamping tents and raised well off the ground to maximise sunrises and to enjoy the privacy of a copper outdoor bath.

Willow Wood Glamping Retreat is the culmination of three years of hard work by owners Kevin and Amber Kelly who are experienced tourism operators having previously run Rainbow Jungle Tourist Park in Kalbarri until the devastation of Cyclone Seroja in 2021 forced them to bring forward their plans for a new adventure in the south west.

Since purchasing the farm and building their dream accommodation near Busselton, Kevin and Amber have been busy revegetating Willow Wood’s farmland to enhance the property’s natural bushland – a haven for native birdlife, kangaroos and their prized highland cows.

Talent, materials and products have been sourced locally wherever possible to intentionally connect Willow Wood to its environment and Kevin and Amber said they were looking forward to finally welcoming their first visitors.

“Willow Wood Glamping Retreat has been a long-time coming,” said Kevin.

“The process of getting to this point and the attention to detail we’ve employed have been a labour of love, but we know our guests will appreciate the end result as much as we do.”

The tents provide privacy and tranquillity, situated a generous distance from each other.

Amber Kelly has been a professional massage therapist for 15 years and will provide guests with exclusive access to healing spa treatments at the retreat in a dedicated eco tent created for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Spa Tent and accommodation tents provide Australian botanical face and body care products by Larn’wa – an exquisite collection developed in consultation with Aboriginal Elders, communities, and friends. Willow Wood is WA’s first, and Australia’s second, location to be granted the opportunity to partner with Larn’wa to use its treatments, based on traditional healing techniques.

A short drive from Busselton-Margaret River airport, Willow Wood is centrally located in a quiet farming hinterland, among the stunning south-west wineries, breweries and bushland – just 15-minutes from 1.8km Busselton Jetty, local shopping in Vasse, and beautiful Dunsborough and Yallingup coastlines. Margaret River town is only 30 minutes’ drive. Willow Wood is the closest accommodation to Ambergate Reserve, a haven for hikers and birdwatchers.

Amber said Willow Wood would be the perfect place for individuals, couples, and friends to unwind.

“We can’t wait to welcome guests to retreat to nature with us,” she said.
