Celebrity chef, Peter Kuruvita, will visit Australia’s original glamping property, Paperbark Camp, on the NSW South Coast, on Sunday, June 4, 2023, to cook a lavish Sri Lankan banquet amongst the treetops and although tickets to the lunch have sold out, new overnight packages have been released which include a ‘golden ticket’ to the much-anticipated event.

Internationally renowned Australian chef, restaurateur, TV presenter and cookbook author, Peter Kuruvita, whose father was Sri Lankan, will showcase the exotic spices and aromas of Sri Lanka during the curated, plant-based, long-lunch at Paperbark Camp alongside his friend and former Paperbark chef, Joanne McRae. The sumptuous, three-course lunch is part of the Shoalhaven Food Network’s ‘Autumn Celebration of Food’ which showcases the fresh produce and creative cuisine of the region.

With tickets to the three-course ‘Lands of the Curry Leaf’ gourmet lunch on Sunday, June 4, 2023, exhausted, Paperbark Camp’s special one and two-night packages at the luxurious eco camp at the are now the only way food lovers can score a seat at the table.

Drawing both food and nature lovers from around Australia and around the world, award-winning Paperbark Camp is nestled in pristine, riverside bushland close to Jervis Bay, 2½ hours south of Sydney.  Ideal for couples, solo guests or friends, the deluxe camp offers a soothing sanctuary amongst the camp’s majestic eucalypts, complemented by an abundance of wildlife and birds that wake guests gently with their sweet song.

Each of Paperbark’s 13 luxe, elevated tents are heated and feature a private, open-air ensuite with bush shower and bush-view bath, spacious terrace, king/twin bed with organic cotton linen and handmade bath products.

Winter is a favourite season at Paperbark for many guests, with luxury campers enjoying crisp, cooler days, cosy, heated tents, hot chocolates, marshmallows and warming liqueurs around the campfire as well as hearty gourmet meals in the camp’s treetop restaurant. The tranquil, riverside setting in the bush is home to kangaroos, possums and colourful birdlife.  The blue-sapphire waters of Jervis Bay are just minutes away as are whale and dolphin cruises.

* The new one-night package on Sunday, June 4, 2023, is available from $580 per couple in a deluxe safari tent including the Peter Kuruvita banquet that day and breakfast next day. The two-night package is available from $1075 per couple including two nights’ accommodation in a deluxe safari tent on Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4, the Peter Kuruvita banquet on June 4, one dinner and two breakfasts.
