IHG Hotels & ResortsThe hospitality giant IHG Hotels & Resorts and real estate mogul A.P.K Real Estate Co., Ltd. have inked a ground-breaking agreement to expand the Holiday Inn Express & Suites brand to Bangkok Asok. This partnership is a testament to IHG’s accelerating expansion in Thailand and A.P.K Real Estate’s first-ever venture into the hotel sector, bringing an intriguing twist to the hospitality landscape.

Slated for an early 2025 opening, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok is a transformative development of the currently vacant new-build high-rise, formerly known as the BelAir Mansion residential condominium. With 180 rooms – 15% of which will be suites equipped with kitchenettes – the hotel aims to cater to the versatile needs of the modern traveller. Additional facilities include a lounge, bar, swimming pool, gym, meeting room, and DIY laundry service.

Saowarin Chanprakaisi, Senior Director of Development for South East Asia and Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed her excitement for this first-time collaboration with A.P.K Real Estate Co., Ltd. Chanprakaisi believes the new hotel will quickly gain popularity among both domestic and international visitors. “IHG’s continual commitment to expand in Thailand is evident with our sixth Holiday Inn Express property and ten more in the pipeline. The high-rise hotel will become our second Holiday Inn Express & Suites property in Thailand, following the soon-to-open Central Pier location.”

Suthin Jiramaneekul, President of A.P.K Real Estate Co., Ltd., shared his enthusiasm for their maiden voyage into the hotel market with the internationally recognized and cherished Holiday Inn Express brand. A suites category, explicitly designed to accommodate leisure travellers and extended-stay guests, was a crucial aspect of their plan. Jiramaneekul lauded IHG Hotels & Resorts for their unmatched in-market expertise and the worldwide reputation of the Holiday Inn Express brand, expressing confidence in their potential for a robust return on investment.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok will stand at a convenient location, a mere 25 kilometres away from both Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Muang International Airport, and just a 500-meter walk from the Sukhumvit MRT and Asok BTS interchange stations. With its placement on Sukhumvit 23, the hotel is poised to offer guests easy access to a plethora of retail and entertainment complexes like Terminal 21 and EM District, corporate offices, and various businesses.

Holiday Inn Express is the world’s most extensive hotel brand, boasting over 3,000 properties worldwide, encompassing more than 327,000 rooms across over 50 countries. It is designed for the intelligent, savvy traveller needing a no-frills basecamp to relax and recharge. With its signature Express Start Breakfast, it offers the basics brilliantly and consistently exceeds guests’ expectations.

There are 22 Holiday Inn Express properties in South East Asia & Korea following the recent opening of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Singapore Novena in May 2023. With 14 more properties in the regional pipeline covering Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, this growth trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.
