This marks the third partnership for a conversion property within Thailand’s picturesque boundaries.

Strategically located at an arm’s length of just 10 minutes from the heart of Pattaya and 200 metres from the charming Pratumnak beach, the Holiday Inn Resort Pattaya, formerly the Mountain Beach Resort, is all set to welcome guests in late 2024. The impressive revamp will include 318 ergonomically designed rooms and suites replete with modern amenities, three state-of-the-art restaurants showcasing an exciting range of culinary experiences, and the Holiday Inn brand’s signature KidSuite and Kids Stay & Eat Free programme, making the resort a perfect destination for families, corporate events, and ‘bleisure’ travellers.

The agreement is integral to IHG’s dynamic expansion strategy in Thailand, which boasts 34 operational hotels and a robust 37-strong pipeline. The company’s ambitious growth plan is to double its estate size within five years, cementing its foothold in the Thai hospitality market.

“We are focusing our expansion efforts on the beloved Holiday Inn Brand family, particularly in resort locations across Thailand,” said Saowarin Chanprakaisi, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia and Korea, IHG. “We’ve already launched two splendid Holiday Inn Resort properties in Koh Samui and Krabi, and this signing nudges us towards a tally of over 20 opened and pipeline Holiday Inn properties in the country.”

Indeed, IHG’s robust presence in Pattaya is notable, with a portfolio that includes InterContinental Pattaya, Holiday Inn Pattaya, Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central, and the upcoming Kimpton Pattaya. This, coupled with the strong partnership with the Destination Group, underlines IHG’s continued growth and influence across Thailand.

Gary Murray, Founder & CEO of Destination Group, shared the enthusiasm. He said, “The new Holiday Inn Resort Pattaya is poised to become a premier destination for visitors. The Pratumnak Beach location is perfect for families and groups, while bleisure and business travellers can leverage its proximity to Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Centre, one of the city’s largest MICE venues.”

Holiday Inn Resort Pattaya’s appeal is further enhanced by its planned 1,450 square meters of meeting space bathed in natural light, perfect for hosting inspiring events and gatherings. Not to be missed is the Siam Adventure Club, a Kid’s Club concept designed to provide unforgettable experiences filled with discovery and joy for young explorers.

This third agreement for a franchised Holiday Inn property underscores the steadfast commitment to the globally recognized brand, raising the bar for guest experiences in Thailand.

The resort is conveniently located an hour’s drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 30 minutes from U-Taopao International Airport. The Holiday Inn brand continues its growth momentum, boasting 1,192 open hotels, with 231 in the pipeline, representing approximately 20% of the current IHG estate. As a global beacon of mainstream travel, Holiday Inn is committed to nurturing meaningful connections and crafting memorable experiences for its guests.
