Quest celebrating 35 yearsIn a climate defined by fluctuating business confidence and evolving travel trends, Quest Apartment Hotels, a member of the Ascott Limited, has emerged as an unshakeable pillar within the corporate hospitality sphere. This year, the brand is celebrating 35 years of successful operations, further reinforcing its commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.

Amid an uncertain economic landscape, Quest has successfully positioned itself to capitalise on the burgeoning demand for reliable and value-for-money corporate accommodations. NAB, Westpac, and ANZ data underscores the challenging market environment, but Quest stands tall as Australasia’s premier serviced apartment operator.

With a portfolio of 159 hotels and another 13 under development, the company is on track to add six more properties by June 2025. This expansion will add 469 rooms to their inventory, elevating the brand’s total to over 9,400 serviced apartments nationwide.

Quest’s consistent success can be attributed to its ability to adapt seamlessly to changing market conditions. A crucial part of their strategy involves integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors into every day operations across their properties. Additionally, their strategic approach to property location, preferring emerging suburbs with solid growth potential, sets up both the brand and franchise business owners for future success.

The recently inaugurated Quest Watergardens and the soon-to-open Quest Woolooware Bay underscore the brand’s focus on delivering corporate clients a “home away from home” experience. These establishments are strategically located in rapidly developing suburban town centres, proving the brand’s commitment to cater to shifting customer preferences.

Design aspects have also evolved, with a conscious effort to blend local architecture and mixed-use developments. The Quest Collingwood, the first of four new establishments slated to open in 2023, is a testament to this evolution. It harmoniously incorporates the red brick facade, reflecting the architectural style of the first Quest property that opened in Fitzroy, Melbourne 1988.

Beyond its physical presence, Quest’s commitment to corporate responsibility manifests in its network-wide community support initiatives under the Quest for a Cause program. In partnership with Sony Foundation’s You Can Stay program, Quest has offered over 13,000 room nights at no cost to families of regionally based youth suffering from complex cancers. Quest is also partnering with Housing All Australians charity this year to address the country’s housing affordability and rental crisis.

David Mansfield, Managing Director at Ascott Australia, credits Quest’s success to the unwavering support from partners, clients, guests, and local business owners. He emphasises the brand’s commitment to adapt to changing guest expectations while maintaining its essence – a network of local business owners providing outstanding guest experiences.

Andrew Clarke, a multi-site Quest Business Owner for 19 years, reflects on his journey with the brand, affirming his belief in Quest’s guiding purpose of providing effortless corporate stays. He highlights the brand’s ability to evolve, providing a proven business model adaptable to local market conditions.

As Quest celebrates its 35th year, its trajectory is a testament to its enduring commitment to exceptional service, adaptability, and community engagement. Whether facing economic fluctuations or global crises, Quest remains steadfast in its mission to deliver superior guest experiences and community value.
